Hey you guys! This is Kelsie Millet and I am your host here on the Let Him In Podcast, where

my intent is to have these episodes full of thoughts, impressions and ways for you to easily let God into your every day.

So, sometimes I think it is really good for us to put ourselves in situations that we know may be a little difficult but that will also provide us with extra blessings and growth opportunities. With that being said, I have three different little mini challenges that I am going to be giving to you in today’s and the following two episodes.

I am really excited about all three of them, as I have already done these challenges for myself, which is making me even more excited to share it with you. Today, if you are listening to this first thing in the morning I would encourage you to dive right in and start this today. Otherwise, maybe you can implement and start this challenge tomorrow.

SO, back in February I was creating a reel and was picking music, and the song that jumped out at me was I Need Thee Every Hour. I am sure the majority of us are familiar with this song, but I wanted to read you the first 3 verses.

I need thee every hour, most gracious Lord, No tender voice like thine can peace afford.

I need thee every hour, stay thou nearby. Temptations lose their power when thou art nigh.

I need thee every hour, in joy or pain. Come quickly and abide, or life is vain.

I need thee, oh I need thee. Every hour I need thee! Oh bless me now my savior I come to thee.

I have always loved this song, but for some reason that night as I listened to these lyrics they hit me differently. And I had the thought, what would it be like if I actually intentionally added God into every single hour of my day that I was awake? What would that look like, and would it change anything, would it affect how I felt?

So some of you may have followed along with this experience and challenge, because I did share it over on Instagram @guided.co while I was doing it, and I know a lot of you joined in. So I went to bed honestly really excited to see how the next day was going to play out.

So the first hour of my next morning I started it out intentionally with prayer, the second hour I played worship music through my whole house while I was getting kids ready for the day and making breakfast. The next hour I focused on my connection prayer and journaling.

Some hours I focused on God for 10-20 minutes, other hours ended up less than a minute with just a very intentional thought, a one liner prayer, reading a quick verse from scripture or reading an uplifting quote.

By the time I went to bed I had spent 15 intentional moments with God that day. I remember feeling so good this entire day. And thinking this is what it feels like to have a heart full of prayer all day long. This is what it feels like when my day is completely centered around God. This is how it should feel everyday. It was insane how different that day felt compared to my typical day.

The blessings that I immediately felt from doing this challenge included more patience, more love towards those around me, a sense of peace, the ability to respond and not react, my kids were happier, probably because I was happier.

I want to encourage you that if you are listening to this that you should take part in this challenge. Start today, or start tomorrow. Don’t overcomplicate it.

Some hours may be and can be so so simple. Throw on some uplifting music, have a handful of quotes you know you can read, keep your scriptures out so you can look at a few verses throughout the day. Whatever it is. It will be perfect. And the blessings will come.

I can’t wait to hear how your day goes. Please tell me! I would love to hear your experiences.

For today’s thought: I would just encourage you to throw on this hymn I need thee every hour, and sit with the words and feel the spirit that comes from inspired music. You can find a direct link in the description below.

Now would be the perfect time to pull out your Hear Him Journal and continue in more stillness, an open mind and a desire to connect with God.

Love you guys!
